- Monitor the blood sugar levels of the assigned elementary student throughout the school day.
- Administer insulin as prescribed by the student's healthcare provider, using the necessary equipment and following proper protocols.
- Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to ensure the student's medical needs are met while maintaining a conducive learning environment.
- Educate school personnel on diabetes management and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding the student's health status and any concerns or updates.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
- Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a school or pediatric healthcare setting.
