Duties:


  • Serves as the Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, developing, executing, and evaluating selected logístical programs as determined by the incumbent's supervisor, Chief, S
  • Plans and coordinates office space requirements in accordance with organizational needs, available space existing, and planned construction (MILCON Projects).
  • Serves as the primary action officer for the Battalion in negotiations with other organizations on matters of interservice support when support deals with logistics and facility space.
  • Performs preaward functions on contracts for a variety of complex critical major mission requirements, secure environmental contracting, and research and development programs for INSCOM.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a TOP SECRET Special Access security clearance as a result of a current and favorable Special Background Investigation (SBI) with access to SCI.
  • Temporary duty to worldwide locations may be required 10% or less of the time.

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience performed at the next lower grade (GG/GS11) level position in the federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing support to logistics management programs involving supply, equipment, maintenance, and transportation operations and/or utilizing various automated supply and property accountability systems such as the Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS-S4), Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), and other new systems being fielded.
