- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, receptive language, and expressive language.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals and objectives, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and strategies.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, expressive language, pragmatics, and social communication.
- Monitor students' progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and support students' academic success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review students' goals, progress, and service delivery recommendations.
- Provide education and training to parents, teachers, and other team members on strategies to facilitate students' communication skills in various settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessment results, treatment sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
- Valid Louisiana license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Prior experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for treating a wide range of speech and language disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
