- Drive the team's transformation into an AI-first operating model — embedding AI tools and techniques into daily administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, automation, and documentation workflows
- Establish and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code as the standard for all AWS provisioning and configuration management, eliminating manual processes
- Architect, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and supporting services) that hosts enterprise application workloads
- Oversee administration of SaaS applications including user provisioning, access controls, licensing, integrations, and vendor coordination
- Own the platform and infrastructure roadmap, making high-judgment decisions on prioritization and scheduling that impact employees across the company
- Define and enforce SLAs/SLOs; establish robust monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices
- Participate in an on-call rotation and ensure the team maintains effective on-call coverage
- Lead capacity planning, upgrade planning, and disaster recovery efforts
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure platforms and infrastructure meet security and compliance requirements
- Manage vendor relationships for licensing and support contracts
- Hire and develop top-tier talent
- Experience driving adoption of AI tools and AI-assisted workflows within an operations or infrastructure team
- Experience architecting and operating application workloads on AWS in a production environment, including with Infrastructure-as-Code
- Strong management experience building and leading teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management as it relates to enterprise applications
