    CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Enhanced Support Worker. The Enhanced Support Worker (Forensic Mental Health) will provide support to individuals with mental health needs that have a connection to forensic services. The Enhanced Support Worker is based on site and meets one on one with residents to work on predetermined wellness goals, monitors medication, teaches daily living skills and ensures overall order and safety. They will work with individuals to manage their tenancies, promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximize their skills and choices. This position will model and teach living skills and assist individuals in setting and achieving personal recovery.

    Full-time | 40 hours p/w| Benefit Eligible including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays | 2 Shift(s)

    1. Wednesday - Saturday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
    2. Thursday - Sunday: 9:00am - 7:30pm

    Annual Salary Range: $37, $40,000.00

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline or criminal justice OR
    • Associate's degree plus 4 years of related work or life experience.
    • The ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes.
    • Exceptional time management skills to be able to support the needs of multiple residents.
    • Maintaining necessary casework records to document the provision of case management services for Medicaid reimbursement.
    • At least 55% of each day is spent in direct face-to-face contact with persons served. The remaining time is spent on training, charting, and coordination of care.
    • All contacts (billable and non-billable) are documented with progress notes, maximizing billable contacts by connecting to goals on the persons served IRP.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Empathetic with good listening skills.
    • Good problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to carry out domestic duties.
    • Patient and emotionally resilient.
    • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
    • Proficient in Excel, MS Office products, as well as general computer literacy.
    • Bilingual skills are preferred/ a plus.
    • Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
    • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
