- Assists Dept. Managers with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, developing and discipling direct employees
- Assists Dept. Managers with the creation of employeeschedules in timely manner
- Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure propercoverage
- Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming,and cleaning
- Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout theshift
- Inspects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and to verify brand standards are being met.
- Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
- Notifies proper personnel of maintenance repairsnecessaryin rooms or on property
- Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
- Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time andattendance
- Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guestservice, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
- Manages Housekeeping and Front Office inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work
- Acts as the "Service Champion" for the Front Office and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
- Assists with the coordination of the blocking of rooms for groups
- Monitors and ensures VIParrivals are executed to highest standard
- Maintains current list of available rooms for walk situations
- Ensures staff communicates effectively with other hotel departments
- Interacts positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues
- Keeps track of rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness forcheck-in
- Ensures prompt and courteous service to guests
- Maintains productive relationship with Valet Parking provider
- Works nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Other duties asassigned
- High School Diploma/GED. Post high school education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years in rooms leadership experience
- Basic mathskills
- HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS)
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and inwriting
- Strong leadershipskills
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and teammembers
- Excellent time managementskills
