Description
Responsibilities:
- Transcribe, prepare and manage correspondence
- Photocopy, scan and fax documents
- Draft new business/matter memos, engagement letters and editing such documents
- Organize and coordinate meetings, conference calls and travel arrangements
- Maintain schedules and Outlook calendars
- Arrange and confirm appointments
- Enter and edit attorney(s) time using Elite/3E or similar system
- Client billing
- Set up and maintain filing systems
- Screen calls and office visitors
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant
- Proficient spelling, punctuation and grammar
- Strong proficiency with proofreading
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Elite/3E
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, as well as anticipate the needs of assigned attorneys
- Active listener and ability to follow directions
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Articulate, polished and professional when interacting with all levels of firm staff and attorneys
- Diplomacy when interfacing with supervisors, subordinates, clients and vendors
- Demonstrates effective verbal, written, listening, and presentation communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Ability to work appropriately with confidential information

Pay:
$82, $87,000.00 per year
