Gibson Island Club in Anne Arundel County seeks multiple Kitchen Dishwasher-Stewards to join our Culinary Department in support of its daily operation. Full-time (benefits offered), part-time, and seasonal positions are available. The Kitchen Dishwasher-Steward maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the kitchen areas while supporting line cooks with food preparation.,


Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
• Dispose of trash and recycling; breakdown boxes
• Support kitchen staff in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies
• Assist cooks in keeping workstations clean and foodprep ready
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred; will train entry level (minimum age 16 with drivers license)
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards, preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors
• Flexibility to work in various areas of the kitchen or dining room as needed
• Team player with excellent communication skills
