JOB DIMENSIONS:


Job Summary:


Under general supervision, screen vendors, visitors, facility contractors, and utilities and service companies; check employee identification badges; keep facility secured at all times; complete log and incident reports; interface with outside security services; respond to emergency calls during off-duty hours; and perform related duties as assigned.

Facility Maintenance Manager


Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Relieve outside security service officer (where applicable) at start of shift; review activity log report;
  • Unlock parking lot gate;
  • Supervise entry of employee vehicles to parking lot;
  • Check for company identification badges on employees entering gate to facility lock gate to parking lot at beginning of working shift;
  • Log in and out all vendors, visitors, freight vehicles or facility and utility services;
  • Issue and collect temporary visitor badges;
  • Periodically patrol the entire facility;
  • Ensure that specified doors and perimeter gates are locked;
  • Check with office personnel before allowing anyone without an appointment to enter facility;
  • Reinspect and secure facility, gates, buildings, and doors prior to the end of the shift;
  • Record transfer ence of keys to outside service security officer relieving night shift security representative (where applicable);
  • Visually inspect first shift employees leaving the facility and checks for unauthorized company property being removed from facilities;
  • Maintain a log of incidents violating security policies, safety policies or any unusual activities;
  • Contact police, fire and/or medical services, as applicable in case of emergency and direct them to appropriate area/s upon arrival;
  • Monitor company security cameras for anything out of the ordinary; document, and bring to the attention of Security Manager or Security Lead person;
  • May operate the sitdown floor sweeper, as directed;
  • Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.


QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:


Experience/Training/Education:

Considerable experience, training and/or certification in security guard procedures.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Considerable knowledge of security patrolling procedures;
  • Ability to write clearly and precisely, activity and incident in reports;
  • Understand, post instructions and maintain log on shift activities;
  • Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others;
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, understand and follow company security policies and procedures; and
  • Ability to drive and maintain electric cart in safe and clean operating condition.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions;
  • Ability to patrol facilities for security purposes;
  • Ability to operate sitdown floor sweeper;
  • Ability to reach, bend, stretch, lift and pull doors and gates of various weights and configurations; and
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined;
  • Reasonable accommodations provided upon request.
