Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Administrator

  • Nursing Administration
  • Per Diem.

Responsibilities:


  • Actively facilitates patient flow throughout the hospital. Analyzes problems, resolves conflicts effectively and timely, and follows through to resolution. Acts as leader and resource person in nursing and patient care practice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensures the effective communication of information to optimize hospital operations in accordance with hospital policy. Notifies the Hospital Administrator on call of any potential or actual major event.
  • Participates andor attends all codes and fire drills according to policy. Ensures a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Reinforces compliance with all hospital policyprocedure and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Participates in development of staff by identifying and communicating educational needs to Nurse ManagerEducators and acts as a clinical resource to staff. Coaches personnel and provides feedback in writing to Nurse Managerdesignee. Participates in the performance appraisal process, providing input to Nurse Managers.
  • Reviews staffing patterns with unit needs and allocates resources appropriately. Investigates need for patient care equipmentsupplies and facilitates acquisitionallocation of such in an expeditious and cost effective manner.
  • Makes daily unit rounds, documents, and follows up deviations from standards. Participates in interdisciplinary process improvement activities. Participates in development of policies and procedures. Reinforces unit compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree NursingEffective 2/18/18 for newHires and transfers. Registered Nurse License-NYS.


Professional Certifications / Registration:
Indicate special certifications that are required or preferred for the position Basic Life Support (BLS years Clinical RN in an acute environment with progressive leadership experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills. Clinical expertise in acute care environment. Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years Leadership or supervisory experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $ $70.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
