    Opened in 1927, the Honolulu Museum of Art is a home for art and education created for the benefit of the entire community.

    Founder Anna Rice Cooke envisioned a museum that would bring people together through the power of art and "the deep intuitions that are common to all." The museum was conceived of as a place of meaningful exchange and dialogue, celebrating the diverse artistic and cultural traditions of Hawai'i's multi-ethnic population.

    From this founding intention grew the museum of today, with a world-class encyclopedic collection of more than 55,000 works of art, representing a stunning breadth of places and eras, from all corners of the globe and from the ancient past to the present day.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two years of comprehensive related experience in ticketing systems and/or database management.
    Proven ability to prioritize the customer experience across all sales channels and adeptly resolve issues to resolution.
    Track record of overseeing and driving process improvements.

    Proven expertise in developing reference materials and conducting training sessions for staff in operational systems, with a preference for experience in ticketing or customer relationship management (CRM) environments.

    Proficiency in project and people management, showcasing the ability to think independently, excel under pressure, and effectively prioritize and delegate to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints.

    Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, customer service, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with an aptitude for quickly learning new software applications.
    Honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, perspective, and a strong work ethic supported by commitment and follow-through.
    Ability to work within and support a diverse community of visitors, artists, and employees.

    Desired Qualifications:


    Sharp analytical and business strategy skills; capable of critical thinking, making well-founded decisions, and justifying recommendations based on data-driven insights.

    Working knowledge of Tessitura or other related ticketing or CRM software.
    Passion for and experience with software and technology for process enhancement in ticketing or database management.
    Experience in a museum environment or nonprofit organization with multiple sites and varying degrees of need.
    Understanding of Honolulu Museum of Art's established identity and dedication to advancing it.

    Acts as the primary stakeholder in the customer purchasing experience, collaborating with various museum departments including Advancement, Communications, Learning & Engagement, and Theatre teams, ensuring seamless ticket processes.

    Plays a leadership role in museum's Tessitura software system, spearheading institution-wide best practice policies and procedures, staff training strategies and sessions, and overseeing meticulous data-entry ensuring data accuracy and completeness to facilitate informed analysis and decision-making.

    Proactively investigates new system capabilities, partnering with user teams on designing and implementing enhancements that support HoMA's mission and strategic initiatives.

    Provides training for staff users to facilitate individually produced, regularly needed data tracking and reporting. Develops and documents processes for staff training and ongoing education.

    Ensures processes and timelines for assembling and presenting ticketed offerings are adhered to and aligned with on-sale dates and marketing deadlines.

    Supports system testing as needed for all ticketing aspects such as new ticketing products and offers or software version updates and upgrades.

    Handles troubleshooting for on-site and online ticket sales, serving as the main point of contact with IT staff, Web staff and/or Tessitura when required.

    Collaboratively ensures proper and timely financial reconciliation of ticketed offerings in collaboration with museum Finance staff.

    Demonstrates a commitment to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion through respectful communication and cooperation with others at all times, continuous training and modeling inclusive behaviors.

    Other duties as assigned.
    Compensation
    The Honolulu Museum of Art is committed to practicing salary transparency. The minimum salary for this position is

    $50,000 per annum

    and the maximum salary is

    $60,000 per annum . Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting pay, including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

    Working Conditions and Atmosphere:
    Works in an office environment. General office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm with flexible scheduling as needed. Ability to operate general office equipment including computer, copier, printers, fax machine, etc. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 25 lbs. of general office material or equipment. Ability to work some evening and weekend hours.
