    Job Title:
    Ticket Office Supervisor

    Reports to:
    Director of Guest Services

    Status:
    Full-time (40 hours per week)

    Pay rate:
    $25 per hour

    Overall description.


    Under the direction of the Director of Guest Services, the Ticket Office Supervisor (the supervisor) manages all operations within the Ticket Office, supervises 2-3 staff, services visitors, coordinate school and group tours, and facilitates communication on Iolani Palace tours.

    The supervisor is expected to represent the Iolani Palace in the most positive manner and interact with the public with courtesy and professionalism.

    Ticket Office Supervisor responsibilities
    Ensure sufficient staff coverage, assist with cashiering or ticketing duties as necessary.
    Hire, train, evaluate, discipline, support, and motivate supervised staff.
    Manage and monitor transactions on POS and online booking system.
    Assist and collaborate with marketing strategy and materials.
    Ensure visitor satisfaction with ticket booking process and contribute to enhancing overall visitor experience.
    Maintain daily records of ticket sales, receipt deposits, and invoices.
    Update and document ticketing office policies and procedures.
    Internal and external communication of rates, tours, promotions, specialty tours, and closed-out dates.

    Manage email and phone communications for the ticketing office, correspondence with individual or group tour inquiries, process reschedule requests and booking changes.


    • Manage tour and school group sales-correspond, assist, schedule, coordinate, and collect payment.
    Oversee supplies, inventory, sales, and accounting of tickets.
    Assist Director of Guest Services with managerial duties
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Ticket Office Supervisor requirements
    ·

    Proven experience as retail outlet or service industry supervisor
    ·

    Experience with managing online booking systems and POS software.
    ·

    Proficiency with office software-Microsoft OS, Office, Gmail, Google Suite.
    ·

    Friendly and professional demeanor
    ·

    Ability to motivate staff.
    ·

    Excellent communication and people skills
    ·

    Proficient with sales tracking and cashiering
    ·

    Ability to handle challenging and difficult customer service situations.
    ·

    Flexibility to work weekends, and occasionally in the evening.
    Physical requirements

    Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

    Frequent sitting throughout work shift

    Occasional walking and standing
    ·

    Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
    ·

    Ability to lift 25 pounds or more.
    ·

    Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects.

    We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $ $25.01/hour.
