Position summaryPrincipal Accountabilities
- Conduct research on potential high net worth individual donors using internal and external databases
- Prepare detailed profiles/briefings for the VP/President and frontline fundraisers on prospects including net worth analysis, affiliations, interests, and philanthropic history
- Identify qualified new donor prospects through data analytics and modeling
- Provide analysis and ratings on donor capacity, propensity, and overall giving potential
- Monitor donors' assets, interests, and life events and update research profiles accordingly
- Research corporate giving programs, grantmaking history, and foundation board affiliations to identify new corporate and foundation funding prospects
- Prepare corporate donor profiles outlining business interests, financials, leadership bios, and past philanthropic gifts
- Identify granting patterns, priorities, and budget cycles for corporate and private foundations
- Monitor Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from corporate and foundation sources
- Deliver strategic briefings and recommendations to major gift fundraising teams' presolicitation
- Conduct research on university alumni who are in leadership roles at corporations, foundations, or large family funds
- Identify alumni who could serve as advocates and build relationships between institutional advancement team and their affiliated company/foundation
- Research alumni giving history and analyze capacity to make major gifts back to the university
- Maintain comprehensive files and tracking systems on all fundraising prospects
- Continuously expand research capabilities and utilize new tools and resources
- Comply with industry ethics, legal standards, and data privacy policies
- Ensure that information is updated and saved on the database.
- Support other tasks as assigned by VP and AVP to ensure effective operations of the wider LAU team.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent is required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in advancement services, prospect research, or analytics
- Expertise conducting donor due diligence and financial profiling
- Proficiency with research databases like WealthEngine, DonorSearch, GuideStar, etc.
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation abilities
- Highly organized and detailoriented
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Proficient in English
Required Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal English language skills.
- The ability to work in Arabic language is a plus
- Exceptional time management, organizational and interpersonal skills with experience of working with and influencing senior staff members
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to edit others work
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of the wider department is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Pay:
$150, $170,000.00 per year
