Role and Responsibilities

Summary


The Logistics Analyst II will be required to create, review, analyze, assign, monitor, supervise and execute program plans to support contractual requirements in military simulation and training.

Responsibilities for this position also include Reliability and Maintainability analysis, proposal development, estimating and budget development, component allocation and tracking, and other contract logistic data / documentation.

Incumbent requires limited supervision, guidance and instruction depending on task complexity and possesses the necessary skills, knowledge, and work factors to independently complete assigned logistics task activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, executes, and reviews integrated logistics support plans / records, integrated logistics support analysis plans, reliability / maintainability / availability program plans and other logistic and technical type documentation e.g., ILSP (Integrated Logistic Support Plan), LMI (Logistics Management Information) and parts lists.
  • Prepares status and progress reports as directed.
  • Creates and presents logistics material at both internal and external design reviews, meetings, and conferences.
  • Provides mentorship to junior Logistics Analysts and Logistics Support Analysts
  • Displays good judgment and creativity in solving complex logistics technical problems and provides detailed recommendations.
  • Assists in establishing standards, procedures, and work instructions for integrated logistics support and analysis, areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinates detailed analyses to ensure the integration of logistics support considerations into the design process through an integrated product team concept to ensure sustainment goals are achieved.
  • Reviews recommended changes to engineering product specifications, CDRLs, SDRLs and statements of work.
  • Performs as the Lead on assigned programs, coordinating supportability efforts and act as the overall ILS point of contact supporting the customer/ government ILS Manager
  • Support engineering in the evaluation of design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy logistics support, reliability, maintainability, testability, workmanship, and availability requirements and develops alternate support requirements as required.
  • Coordinates and resolves component obsolescence issues.
  • Responsible for spares provisioning actions from proposal phase thru fielding of CAE products.
  • Reviews proposal documentation for ILS impact, creates written technical inputs and oral presentation packages supporting the proposal.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical / business related field with 4+ years of military and or civilian logistics experience

Preferred Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of simulator systems development, Integrated Master Schedule, Configuration Management, Logistic Support Analysis, Integrated Logistics Support, Level of Repair Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Cost Analysis and Strategy Assessment, reliability & maintainability modelingallocationprediction, technical writing, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, training, Safety, HAZMAT, technology insertion / refresh, obsolescence, and concurrency
  • Experience in performing life cycle cost analysis/goals and has experience working with other logistics engineering automated tool such as Windchill Risk and Reliability, PUB LOG FLIS, Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), DOORs, Relex and OPUS10
  • Display excellent business judgment and initiative in considering one or more variables, restrictions, alternatives, tradeoffs, and conflicting objectives to solve unusual, nonroutine problems.
  • Familiar with GIDEP organization, purpose, and implementation
  • Read and understand digital and analog electrical schematics, system diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret advanced documents and publications.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
