RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads efforts in the development of training systems aligned with safety, quality & continuous process improvement efforts.
- Develop and maintain a library of training materials specific to manufacturing related processes (Work Instructions, Skill Sheets, Troubleshooting Guides).
- Responsibilities include all departments in Newport News as well as support and collaboration with Williamsburg as needed.
- Assesses and assembles appropriate production employee job training and/or equipment process training.
- Assists manufacturing leads and department managers with the recruitment process by participating in the interview process and New Hire Orientation/Onboarding. Works closely to train and evaluate new associates throughout the probationary period.
- Where appropriate, surveys operations management regarding specialized training requirements.
- Prepare, document, and implement training materials to certify skill mastery to ensure consistency of performance within the plant.
- Facilitate a teamwork environment consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Participates in internal and external audits as requested.
- Actively participate and sponsor the Printpack Performance system Continuous Skills Development team, and actively report out the CSD team's performance and actions to the Plant Leadership Steering Team.

- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel from the Plant Leadership Team to Equipment Operators.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Formal ongoing education is desirable and encouraged.
- Minimum three (3) years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proven ability to perform in a selfdirected manner and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet with the night shift teams frequently.
- Project management and computer (MS Office, Google) skills.
- Three to five (35) years of training experience, including development of training programs and conducting onthejob and classroom style training preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with Extrusion, Thermoforming, or Dry Offset cup printing preferred.
- Experience with computer training programs, learning management systems, creating and editing training videos preferred.
