    Located on Austins vibrant South Congress Ave., Neighborhood Sushi serves Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual & beautiful setting. The reimaged space was home to Lou Lamberts Liberty Pie & Catering, where founder Larry McGuire got his start 20 years ago.

    Neighborhood Sushi provides guests an approachable sushi experience with influences of Texas flavors, Japanese design and Austin hospitality. Fresh & light soups, salads and small plates followed by traditional sushi bar inspirations.

    Learning to Expo as part of your training will give you all the tools you need to learn our food and style of service. Qualities we look for in our teammates include a genuine interest in food and beverage, a thirst for knowledge, and the desire to create memorable experiences for our guests. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for hospitality, we want to hear from you

    Duties and responsibilities include:

    Maintain standards of food and beverage quality and standards of service

    Demonstrate menu knowledge and interpersonal skills, answering questions, and making suggestions

    Relay orders to the kitchen and beverage services

    Anticipate and address guest needs and concerns

    Communicate effectively and respectfully with other staff and guests

    Complete all side work as assigned

    Maintain a clean and safe work environment

    Support other staff in duties as required

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    Excellent customer service and people skills required

    High stamina

    Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure

    Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively

    Strong verbal communication skills required

    Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required

    Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.

Enjoy a selection of crispy seafood and local vegetable tempura with a Hitachino on draft out back on the Congress facing Sake Garden.

    Nigiri in classic cuts of Japanese Red Snapper, Sea Bream and Santa Barbara Uni are complemented by vegetarian preparations of Texas Sweet Corn topped with togarashi & serrano, and specialty bites like the Kushi Oyster with mignonette pickle. Rolls and hand rolls round out the menu with original arrangements of Grilled Enoki Mushrooms with yuzu kosho and Tempura Shrimp with coconut macadamia and purple shiso.
