DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Bureau of Pollution Control and Prevention is seeking applicants for our Environmental Investigator V position.

Some of the duties of this position include:

Manage Continuous Ambient Monitoring Station Team.
Manage Whole Air Team and operations.
Manage Administrative Support Team.
Act as facilities manager for the Bureau.
Work to ensure various grant deliverables are accomplished on time and to the specifications of the grantor.
Monitor expenditures and procurement to sustain operations.
Coordinate with various stakeholders to promote the protection of public health.
Oversee the bureau's professional development plans for staff.
Support special projects as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items, such as typewriters or records boxes (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis.

There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions.

The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of a video display terminal.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Health Engineering or a closely related degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Four (4) years of pollution/environmental control experience are required.
