Summary of position:


Warehouse workers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as
receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standards and regulations. Adhere to safety standards and accident reporting procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy of items delivered and received for delivery. Complete logs and forms as required.
  • Load and unload food and nonfood items on truck in a safe and orderly manner. Ensures timely and efficient meal service and OP-X guidelines are being met.
  • May supervise and train inmates on loading procedures.
  • Assists as utility person aiding in maintaining the kitchen in a safe, sanitary manner by removing trash, cleaning up spills or helping in storeroom with food storage.
  • Follow and adhere to the correctional facility security policies. Ensures that all kitchen tools, keys, and equipment are returned to their designated secure area.
  • Properly receives and store food and food related items. Requisitions supplies and equipment to maintain stock levels. Monitors stock levels.
  • Follows Company's policies and procedures for food handling and storage. (HAACP).
  • Completes all required training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires constant standing/walking
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable).
  • Maintain security clearance

Assistant Food Service Director / Production Supervisor / Warehouse


Qualifications:


  • Previous warehouse experience (required)
  • Forklift and Pallet jack Experience / Certification (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multitasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required.
  • Knowledge of food prep, temperature control, and sanitation.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Mathematical ability required to perform simple math calculations.
  • Average communication skills (oral and written) are needed.

Performing general physical activities Physical Requirements:

  • The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The associate will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines or other information. The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

Working conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location)**:

  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
  • Generally, in an indoor setting, however, when receiving deliveries
- when delivering Product from one location to another will be inside Company truck.

  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold well go in and out of locations during deliveries.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.


This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.

Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
