Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.

To support this transformation, we are hiring a Manager, Intercompany within the Global Business Services organization. This role, reporting to the Sr.

GBS RTR Manager, will be responsible for the end-to-end process management of new and existing intercompany relationships, driving multiple stakeholders (Legal, Tax, Corporate/Brand Accounting, FP&A, etc.) from Initiation up to the time the transaction is recorded in the company's books.


In this role you will get to:

  • Drive all global intercompany transactions and processes, including compliance with intercompany transfer pricing agreements, as well as completeness and accuracy of intercompany accounts.
  • Manage alignment across all parties involved (Legal, Tax, Accounting, FP&A, Brands, HR, etc.) for new and existing relationships to ensure they have the information needed to drive a decision and are signed off on the outcomes.
  • Coordinate with tax on transfer pricing (TP), indirect tax considerations, BEAT considerations, etc. Serving as the primary liaison with the Tax team to ensure calculations are accurate and compliant with TP policies and intercompany arrangements.
  • Research and prepare intercompany accounting analyses impacted by new business initiatives
  • Coordinate with Legal through contract execution
  • Coordinate with Accounting and FP&A on accounting entries
  • Provide status updates to relevant parties throughout the process and communicate outcomes (and contracts) to all relevant parties once a decision has been finalized
  • A proper review of global intercompany transactions and account activity to ensure proper elimination and presentation in consolidated and standalone financial statements.
  • Ongoing maintenance of existing relationships, including supporting various levels of tax review and helping to execute on making changes through agreements, actuals, and forecasts
  • Serve as a point of contact for global intercompany relationships and engage stakeholders across the Brands and multifunctions
  • Assist teams in defining intercompany terms
  • Assist teams in defining scenarios when intercompany accounts should be used (e.g. service fee, paying on behalf)
  • Assist teams in defining which party (seller or buyer) shall record 3rd party revenue, cost, BS items
  • Ensure consistency across relationships
  • Confirm relationships are being recorded accurately in the financials (and push for automation in the operations where possible) and implemented endtoend on the finance side of each brand, e.g. booking, invoicing, settlement, etc.
  • Create and maintain a repository of information for everyone to refer back to
  • Provide inputs to the Process Owner in implementing a global standard process model from a people, process and technology perspective.
  • Share operational insight to the Process Owner to enhance intercompany accounting policies and procedures, including improvement opportunities.
  • Work with External Audit, Internal Audit, Risk and Control and functional leads to ensure proper internal controls are in place and to address or mitigate any deficiency.
  • Take the lead on various special projects related to Intercompany operations ensuring seamless execution and proper change management.

What you have:


  • Bachelor's Degree Finance
  • Big 4, Multinational or consulting environment
  • 812 years experience in Finance, understands Accounting concepts
  • Project management and/or transformation experience is a plus.
  • Selfstarter with a demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement mindset and leading change
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing, and fluid organization.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at various levels of the organization tailored appropriately to the audience.
  • Must be agile and collaborative, especially in a matrix organization, with a complex business environment across geographies and Brands. Ability to translate vision to operational plans.
  • Works effectively in a highgrowth environment comfortable in both individual contributor roles and crossfunctional team management roles, depending on what is required by the business at the time
  • Maintains a positive and strong relationship with all levels of business, crossfunctional stakeholders, and peers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to correlate technology solutions with process
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOx
  • Experience with SAP, One Stream, One Source, and Blackline is preferred.
