- Able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Demonstrate good customer service skills and pleasant phone techniques.
PRIMARY CLERICAL DUTIES:
- Answer phone and assist customers
- Perform Insurance verification processes as dictated by insurance programs/standards
- Maintain Insurance documentation regarding priorauthorizations, authorizations, and reauthorizations as required
- Collect payment for services as necessary based on hospital and department policy/process
- Schedule initial evaluations for all disciplines
- Schedule appointments for all disciplines
- Communication with physician offices
- Maintain Supply Inventory and order supplies as necessary
- Chart Handling/Storage
- Oversee flow of documents from opening to electronic storage
- Compilation of data for Performance Improvement projects
- Other duties as assigned
