- Develops curriculum materials, including course outlines, syllabi, and other instructional materials
- Carries out all responsibilities associated with teaching the assigned classes
- Conducts after-school tutorials as scheduled
- Participates in department, faculty, team, and grade-level meetings as called
- Ensures that students adhere to The Lovett School behavioral guidelines
- Is involved in the life of the school outside of the classroom
- Fulfills additional duties as assigned
- Aligning classroom practices and pedagogy with the Lovett Mission, Vision, Whole Child Promise, and the Math Department Values Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required; master's degree or higher preferred.
- The drive, organization, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the school community beyond the classroom
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and supervisors
- Employment of a variety of techniques, including the meaningful use of technology, to engage students and further their critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity
- A strong desire to work in a collaborative learning community, employing a growth mindset

Description
The Lovett School, an independent K-12 day school in Atlanta, GA seeks a middle-school math teacher to begin August 2024. Interested applicants should be able to teach the full middle school math curriculum including Algebra I, Advanced Algebra I, and Honors Geometry with focus on understanding over procedure. Experience teaching middle school grades will be preferred, as well as a comfort with design thinking, project-based learning, and hands-on math experiences.
