Description
RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Design, edit and publish communication to both internal and external population.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.
- Strong social media management skills, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Creates brochures, flyers, program booklets, invitations, certificates, and other printed materials as requested.
- Monitors SBCSC appearances in media.
- Proofs work or information for accuracy and grammar, and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently. Creates webpages for department and groups.
- Trains users on website editing.
- Creates directories.
- Coordinates annual retirement/recognition dinner.
- Coordinates annual magnet fair.
- Coordinates special events and projects including groundbreakings and building dedications.
- Coordinates Strategic Planning steering committee and subgroup meetings.
- Responds to requests for information about SBCSC.
- Collects graphics images to be used in print and electronic publications.
- Manages requests for distribution of materials from outside organizations, and maintains file of requests.
- Prepares weekly Administration Bulletin for print and posting on website.
- Prepares letters to acknowledge all donations received by SBCSC.
- Prepares annual SBCSC printed calendar.
- Maintains and purchases office supplies.
- Maintains professional interpersonal relationships with staff, students, and the public.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Coordinates Administration Building social committee activities.
- Provide support to Office of Superintendent and Board of School Trustees.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be an organized, detailoriented, confidential, motivated selfstarter who can multitask, meet tight deadlines and build strong, effective work relationships.
- Ability to work independently in a deadlinedriven environment.
- Ability to work effectively with administrators, internal staff, writers, designers, editors, photographers, and printers.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technology platforms.
- Understanding of student and teacher experience preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including proofreading.
- Advanced computer skills in various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Photoshop, iPhoto, InDesign, GoogleDocs and Prezi.
- Experience with PowerSchool, BoardDocs, VersaTrans and AS_/_400 preferred.

Pay:
$35, $45,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
