- Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Director to assess, develop, organize, and implement individualized resident care programs using specialized Speech Therapy (ST) procedures.
- Efficiently manage caseload, identifying residents through screening processes, and scheduling individual or group treatments while meeting productivity expectations.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on Speech Therapy techniques for continuation post-discharge.
- Maintain adherence to PPS guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation and billing procedures.
- Provide supervision and education for therapy technicians and affiliated students under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Director.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, and comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.
- Uphold resident confidentiality and dignity, fostering self-worth through compassionate care.
- Knowledgeably adhere to Residents' Bill of Rights and promptly report grievances or complaints to appropriate authorities.
- Immediately report any incidents involving rehab staff to RVP.
- Good physical and mental health with the ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, fine hand-eye coordination, and acute hearing.
- Maintain visual and hearing acuity to monitor residents' conditions and respond promptly to calls.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and medical personnel.
- Pursue continuous professional development by participating in continuing education, seminars, and training programs.
- Attend all mandatory in-services to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited SLP Program with CCC or in CFY, eligible for licensure
