    Description

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a System Integration Engineer to join the team at a large automotive customer. You'll join the IT Supply Chain Inbound Logistics team supporting the deployments of a vendor developed YMS (Yard Management Systems) solution across 12 manufacturing sites in 2024 and the remining sites in 2025. This role requires travel within North America for up to two weeks at a time.

    Specific Responsibilities Include:

    Coordinating the connectivity, orchestration and integration of the Fast Gate.

    Real-time location servers antenna static and dynamic placement.

    Author and own configuration and start up scripts to authorize and open the application on a tablet mounted on Hi-Lo's/Switcher Cab trucks.

    Act as the go-to person to help enable the plant with the IT solutions to promote the YMS system.

    Train users on the plant floor.

    Troubleshoot and support the YMS solution.

    Become an SME in the YMS space to continually improve the process and product.

    Skills and Requirements

    3+ years experience in an IT application implementation/integration role supporting deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting of a specific application.

    Experience troubleshooting network or connectivity issues.

    Excellent communication and ability to train users.

    Experience with cloud-based systems or real-time location servers.

    Willingness to learn how to integrate PLC/controllers as orchestration. Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.

    Experience working within a plant or manufacturing environment.

    Experience working with PLC/controllers.

    Experience working with Pinc or Kaleris yard management systems. null
