Seeking a professionally minded, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails, specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and exciting food & N/A beverages to our customers.

The bartender will quickly & warmly greet customers, learn about customer food & beverage preferences, answer menu & dietary questions, recommend menu items, prepare, and serve beverages & food as needed.

You will consultatively upsell items, create beverage recipes, safely utilize all restaurant equipment, use fresh ingredients, basic stocking, and cleaning duties.

To succeed as a bartender, you will have a clean appearance and a friendly and engaging personality. You are efficient, observant, knowledgeable, personable, teachable, take direction easily, a self-starter, and a team player. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you. DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO - General Manager


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, and serve classic cocktails, specialty cocktails, beer, wine, N/A beverages, and food
  • Prepare restaurant bar with special attention to sanitation and order
  • Prepare alcohol or nonalcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Discuss and explain daily features and the overall dining experience
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make menu recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Plan and present menu as needed
  • Check customers' identification and confirm it meets WI legal drinking age requirements
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies including glassware, barware, bar equipment, kegs, cases of bottled beverages, and more
  • Be able to lift and handle weights up to 50 lbs
  • Be guest focused and nurture a superior guest experience
  • Comply with all safe service food and beverage regulations mandated by the State of WI
  • Calmly Respond to customer complaints, helpfully taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into happy guests
  • Putting together tables and chairs for larger tables
  • Clean and clear all serving areas bar top, chairs, bar area, etc.
  • Ability to perform such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, stretching, crouching, walking, sitting, and carrying for extended periods of time in a fastpaced environment.
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Issue bills and accept payment
  • Comply with the Sequence of Service
  • Coordinate and implement proper handover to the next shift staff
  • Perform all other duties as required by management
  • All duties can be modified as necessary by the management at any time and without prior notice

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Any combination of education, training, and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including successful experience as a server in a restaurant setting; ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays; proficiency in speaking, reading and understanding basic service process.

Must be able to take directions, work in a team environment and work calmly and effectively under pressure.


Education:

High school equivalent education or work experience


Training & Experience:


  • 5+ years working in the restaurant/service industry
  • Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender
  • Excellent working knowledge of mixology, garnishing, and serving food & drinks in a fastpaced environment
  • Basic Computer literacy
  • Basic working knowledge of operating a Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to serve alcohol to the guest 21+yearold
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food and drink handling procedures

COMPENSATION:
Compensation will vary based on experience.

Available shifts and compensation:
Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $ $13.00/hour.
