Overview:
We are seeking a full time FedEx BC - Operations Manager in the Tampa, FL area. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of package delivery services in a singular FedEx Ground terminal.

This Operations Manager will lead a team of drivers through up to 10 routes daily within the Tampa Terminal.

Previous FedEx/UPS/Amazon experience with at least one peak season is strongly preferred. This is not a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm position.

It will require some long-hour days and occasional Saturday/Sunday work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow it.

Compensation + Benefits

• Salary 62, ,000 dependent on experience
• Performancebased bonuses on top of salary

Responsibilities:

• Work to ensure all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and routes are generating sufficient revenue
• Drive for contingency as necessary
• Assist with recording and reporting timesheets for payroll
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding & training of new company drivers
• Collaborate with ownership and other management to complete delivery routes in DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization) system experience preferred
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs on equipment at regular intervals to avoid unnecessary breakdowns (mechanical knowledge is a plus)
• Work with peers to coordinate the training of every new driver to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
• Ensure Driver compliance with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliance, Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspections
• Create a culture of safety and ensure each driver is up to date on all safety training
• Communicate with FedEx Ground staff when necessary

Manager Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older (for insurance purposes)
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical (both paid for by FedEx)
• Physically willing, ready & able to drive a 26ft bulk truck and/or a P1000+ sized vehicle and safely deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients
• Previous FedEx experience strongly preferred experience with UPS or Amazon is a plus

Pay:
$62, $80,000.00 per year
