Key Responsibilities:

The Village of Orland Park's Sportsplex facility is seeking energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Youth Soccer Coach. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing recreation department pre-school and youth soccer programs. Instructor will create a lesson plan for assigned athletic/recreation program(s) along with, and under the direction of the Supervisor. Instructor will teach children the fundamentals of athletic program. The instructor will create a fun, positive and memorable athletic experience while developing sports specific knowledge and teamwork.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:


This position is ideal for a sports-minded individual currently pursuing a degree in recreation or sports management or sports focused individual who enjoys working with children.

A friendly, efficient and service-minded attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm are key for this role. Previous children sports experience, and customer service experience are helpful.

Prior experience working recreational and/or sports programs is required. Knowledge of sports fundamentals required. Prior high school level or above direct sports participation is highly preferred. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children.
