- Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems
- Identifies configuration items, implements change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits
- Works on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
- Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system
- Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
- Implements CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life
- Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets
- Ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards
- Tracks all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, controls standard operating procedures and current configurations
- Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
- Familiar with GitLab, Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA, Nexus, and Jenkins and other DevSecOps tools
- Clearance: Top Secret//SCI
- Polygraph: current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
- Experience with multiple configuration management tools and resources
- Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA Risk Management Framework,
- Understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture,
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2.

- Associates Degree 10
- Bachelors' Degree 8
- Masters' Degree 6
- PhD 4
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or information management, and 8 years of comparable work experience.
- Desired skills include up to five or more years of configuration management experience.
- Prefer candidates who have experience in the Intelligence Community.
- Candidate must be thorough.
- Prospective candidates should have excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and conflict management skills.

Description
OverviewIlluminate seeks an exceptionally qualified Configuration Specialist/Manager to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services/microservices' application's current capability while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands. The Configuration Manger provides overall configuration management infrastructure and environment to the product development team. The Configuration Manager has to ensure that the CM environment facilitates product review, change and defect tracking activities. This role includes writing the CM plan and reporting progress based on change requests, understanding configuration management principles, and preferably having experience or training in the use of CM tools. This role is responsible for the execution of the process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle.
