What the day will look like

Serve as principal litigation manager of Aon's matter management system using TeamConnect or similar software to support matter intake, analysis, and docket management.

Produce and analyze budgeting and matter management reports for attorneys and Aon's business and finance leaders.
Lead internal project initiatives and prepare PowerPoint presentations for the Global Litigation team.
Support all phases of discovery, including document review and (electronic) document collection and production.
Support early case assessment reviews, including targeted document reviews and fact witness interviews.
Draft litigation hold notices and subpoena and/or document request responses.

Assist with motion practice, tracking of litigation deadlines, and the exchange of information among internal and external counsel, key internal stakeholders, counterparties, and expert consultants.

Liaise with external counsel and other legal suppliers to ensure compliance with approved budgets and legal invoicing procedures, and review invoices for accuracy.

Liaise with data governance team to ensure compliance with and updates to document retention requirements and procedures.
Proactively organize and maintain hard copy and electronic records in accordance with firm policies, legal holds, and case requirements.
Access legal documents and resources using Lexis/Nexis, PACER, or other legal databases.
Work autonomously with mínimal supervision where needed to minimize disruption to senior counsel and business leaders.
Maintain strict confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Act ethically, responsibly, and tactfully in compliance with firm policies, including Aon's Business Code of Conduct.
Skills and experience that will lead to success

Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate litigation practice and/or legal operations involving corporate litigation; combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred.

In-depth knowledge of all phases of litigation from pre-case assessment to appeal and post-trial work, especially in eDiscovery production.
Experience with in-house matter management software such as TeamConnect, etc.

Proficiency with Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, PACER and other legal research and docket management tools, as well as with Relativity and other electronic document review platforms.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of our organization.

Ability to exercise independent initiative and sound judgment in daily tasks, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.

Ability to work in a team environment, across various areas, geographies, and levels of the organization.

Exceptional organization skills to collect, classify, and synthesize data and information to produce ad hoc reports for Global Litigation team and other internal stakeholders.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage litigation team practice resource materials and to "project manage" with respect to team initiatives.
Prior experience supervising junior legal and/or administrative staff a plus.
Education
A Bachelor's degree. is required.
