    QTEC Aerospace is seeking a PRODUCT INTERGRATION ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.


    Job Summary

    QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.


    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

    • Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS up to the program developed applications
    • Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps in documentation to be delivered to the customer
    • Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation
    • Develop integration checkout plans/procedures for software integration test conduct, be responsible for integration/execution, data analysis, troubleshooting and preparation of software integration reports
    • Coordinate execution of SW integration tests to verify system operation
    • Work with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during software integration and submit problem reports for errors found
    • Responsible for supporting the implementation of all Information Assurance directives on the systems to include running IA scans
    • Coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
    • Occasional travel will be required for this position, including support for installation and checkout at customer sites
    • Intermittent non-standard work hours are possible

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with at least 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
    • Security+ certification is required (current certification is preferred but must be obtained within 60 days of the start date)

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Previous experience integrating separate software components into a single system
    • Experience integrating complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
    • Must have experience with Linux and Windows system administration including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
    • Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation
    • Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system
    • Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging and maintaining)
    • Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
    • Skilled in software integration planning, execution and troubleshooting
    • Must have, or be able to develop, in-depth expertise in the concept of operations and user interface
    • Experience writing installation manuals
    • Must be able to write clear, concise system installation and configuration instructions
    • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
    • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Experience with VM Horizon View
    • Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development

    Security Clearance

    Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.


    Salary Range

    $82,000 - $161,000

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
