About the Role:
American Cedar & Millwork, Inc. in Lewes, Delaware, seeks a self-motivated warehouse associate to join our dedicated team. The number one priority of this position is to assist our customers in the lumberyard and receiving area.
Other responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, culling lumber, merchandising, stocking freight, straightening, cleaning, assisting with deliveries, and other tasks as assigned.
Building materials and/or forklift experience is a plusResponsibilities Include:
- Picking and packing of daily orders according to company processes
- Processing and restocking returns
- Receiving and sorting inbound shipments
- Quality control
- Forklift Operation upon completion of training and certification (unless there is previous forklift experience)
- Keeping the work environment clean and general warehouse organization
- Basic math and written/verbal communication skills are required
- Delivery of Windows, Doors, and Lumber
- Must have warehouse experience; experience driving a box truck would be a plus
Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be energetic, with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be willing to operate forklifts and other machinery.
