SUMMARY


The Technical Trainer is responsible for training our technicians to enhance their skill to meet the needs of our service departments on equipment maintenance, repair and operation.

The Technical Trainer is pivotal role to meeting our customers expectations on providing quality parts and service.

This position is also responsible for mentoring our trainees to support their growth in becoming journey level technicians and developing training curriculum that supports the needs of the divisions and manufacturers to meet the long-term success of the Holt family of companies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Development of curricula including creation and utilization of training aides, presentations, videos, components, machines and tooling
  • Mentoring technician trainees to develop their skill
  • Create lesson plans and schedules for training classes that meet the course objectives defined by managers and employee assessments.
  • Work with Training Director, divisions / departments to develop individual training assessments, analyze training needs and evaluate results for foundational training needs of trainees.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of apprenticeship program as required.
  • Assist in the research and monitoring of training needs of trainees and make recommendations for alternative training techniques/initiatives.
  • Use necessary training resources to conduct training classes as included in advance of and following training to effectively and efficiently coordinate and document classes.
  • Evaluate accomplished training at the completion of each class
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


College Degree or Technical School Certificate and a minimum of 3 years industry experience and/or as a technician in diesel, automotive, construction equipment.
