    Description

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + Knowledge of Federal Sanitation regulations concerning facilities, equipment, and utensils.

    + Knowledge of USDA school meal requirements.

    + Creative skills to incorporate new menu ideas and newer food service trends.

    + Ability to perform mathematical calculations to determine percentages and fractions for recipes.

    + Knowledge of operation and maintenance of dish machine, ovens, steamers, slicers, freezers, and refrigeration.

    + High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

    + Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.

    + Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner and to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.

    + Ability to successfully lead a team of associates.* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education, preferred

    3 to 5 years of previous experience in food preparation and serving required, hospital setting preferred

    Some previous supervisory experience in industrial food preparation is required

    Must possess the ability to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job

    This position is on-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support; must be available to work some after hours (morning, evening, night), weekends, and holidays as assigned

    ServSafe Food Handlers certified

    Must be CPR (BLS) certified
