Description
Utilizes advanced imaging techniques to generate and assess ultrasound images
Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures and tasks.Calibrates, adjusts, and upkeeps ultrasound and associated equipment.
Evaluates and preps patients of all age groups for scans, ensuring they understand the process.
Provides essential patient care and support:
Maintains cleanliness, order, and stocks in examination rooms.
Minimum Educational Requirement:
Completion of a 2-year AMA Allied Health Program.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in critical thinking, making sound judgments, and working with minimal supervision. Ability to perform effectively in demanding situations.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound (RDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Minimum Work Experience:
Preferably 1 year of experience as a sonographer.
