Residential programs run 24/7 and Individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, Medication support services, and crisis intervention.

Job Overview

This is a union position.


Men's Community Reentry Program (MCRP), a program of HealthRIGHT 360, is a 200-bed residential facility for adult men who are in custody and on parole.

We provide comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services. Treatment episode ranges in time from 6 months to 12 months.

This program is a fast-paced environment where communication is paramount to provide cutting edge services to men in a residential treatment setting as well as their families.

Our goal is to reintegrate persons served back into the community with the necessary skills to remain substance and crime free.

The Health and Wellness Coordinator will be responsible receiving, logging, storing, disposing, and monitoring medications.

Health and Wellness Coordinator will also coach clients with self-administration of their medication and will ensure that clients keep their medical appointments as needed.

The Health and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the Wellness Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record all new client medications into Welligent and other electronic systems.
  • Facilitate the destruction of medication when necessary and maintain accurate logs.
  • Coordinate medical, mental, dental, MAT and optometry client appointments.
  • Coordinate pharmacy services for new medications and refills.
  • Coordinate all medical, dental, optometry, and MAT service authorizations with CDCR.
  • Coordinate offsite passes with onsite CDCR personnel.
  • Facilitate PCR and rapid COVID testing as needed.
  • Facilitate client telehealth medical appointments as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical personal for service planning and delivery.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local standards.
  • Provide case management services to clients as necessary.
  • Create accurate monthly client medication sheets.
  • Coordinate the collection of Sharps containers and maintains accurate records.

Client and Medical Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of medication including inventory, safe storage, safe handling, disposal, and accurate logging and tracking. Responsible for managing medication errors, coordinating the delivery of medication, and managing medical emergencies when on site. Responsible for networking with community stakeholders. Provide formal and informal education to clients regarding medication compliance.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Keep accurate records of client care in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local requirements. Attend staff meetings and trains staff on various wellness center topics.
And perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or EMT Certification.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Ability to clear and maintain a background clearance (must be off of Parole or Probation).
