    Description

    Material Handler
    ABR has teamed up with a growing company in Stevens Point. Immediate need for a Material Handler. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.


    Wage:
    $17/hour


    Hours:
    M-F 6a.m.-2:30p.m. with OT during the week or Saturdays as needed


    Job Summary
    We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and accurately handling, storing, and transporting materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong commitment to workplace safety.


    Responsibilities

    • Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy of shipments.
    • Unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
    • Retrieve and stage materials for production or shipment according to schedules.
    • Maintain organized and efficient storage areas.
    • Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or damaged materials to management.
    • Pick, pack, and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
    • Ensure accuracy of orders by verifying item codes, quantities, and shipping addresses.
    • Prepare shipping labels and documentation as required.
    • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or defects.
    • Report any quality issues to supervisors or quality assurance team.
    • Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
    • Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain equipment in good working condition.
    • Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness.
    • Maintain accurate records of material transactions, including receipts, transfers, and withdrawals.
    • Complete paperwork and documentation related to shipping and receiving activities.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
