Description

The Sahuarita Food Bank & Community Resource Center (SFB-CRC) seeks a dedicated and compassionate Family Resource Center Coordinator (FRC Coordinator) to join our team.

As the FRC Coordinator, the primary responsibility will be to distribute resources and create a nurturing and welcoming environment for parents and their children 0-5 years old.

As with all positions at the SFB-CRC, we all work together to meet and exceed the organization's objectives.

  • Responsible for daily functions of the Family Resource Center.
  • Serve as a liaison between the FRC program, SFB-CRC programs, and The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ for shared program space coordination.
  • Establish and maintain weekly recruitment and monthly outreach strategies in collaboration with partners.
  • Participate in the coordination and delivery of quarterly family events
  • Maintain open and consistent communications with families with children ages birth to five.
  • Regularly collaborate with other agencies serving families with children ages birth to five.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Family Resource Center processes and documentation, including but not limited to participant intake and attendance records for submission to United Way of Tucson.
  • Solicit and collect family surveys to inform program improvement and send data to United Way of Tucson staff for data entry.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with SFB-CRC Program Manager and the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona to maintain and update the client management system while keeping partners updated regarding registration status.
  • Follow all applicable Standards of Practice as outlined by First Things First and adhere to established early childhood best practices.
  • Participate in grant data collection, entry, evaluation, and analysis while maintaining meticulous records of participant interactions, referrals, program involvement, and completion to ensure confidentiality and privacy.
  • Alongside partners, maintain a clean, functional, and safe Family Resource Center environment at all times.
  • Distribute FRC Calendar and program flyers from United Way of Tucson and
Southern Arizona to stakeholders and community partners.

  • Maintain weekly posts on Sahuarita FRC social media alongside United Way of
Tucson and Southern Arizona.

  • Participate in the coordination and delivery of quarterly family events
alongside
partners.

  • Maintain ongoing professional development of at least 18 hours per fiscal year, including but not limited to culturally responsive service delivery and the Protective Factors Framework.
  • Receive an onboarding orientation from United Way of Tucson that includes developmentally appropriate practices in interacting with young children, positive child guidance, handwashing and food service procedures, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, accident and emergency procedures, and mandated reporting.
  • Collaborate with DCS and Casa de los Niños to host supervised visits at the FRC
  • Oversee food ordering, distribution, documentation, and data reporting of FRC food boxes.
  • Collaborate with SFB-CRC Volunteer and Friends of Library for free client book ordering and distribution program.
  • Collaborate and maintain open communication with all SFB-CRC staff and volunteers.
  • Represent the SFB-CRC along with the FRC at community events.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and ability.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in social work, psychology, child development, or related fields
  • Two years of experience working with parents or families in a supportive and educational capacity
  • Understand the stages of early child development and ageappropriate expectations for children ages birth to five
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to connect with parents from diverse backgrounds
  • Empathetic and nonjudgemental attitude, with the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment for families
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with essential office software
  • Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation is preferred
  • Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:


  • Valid Arizona Operator License (Class D)
