Description
In addition to the duties encompassed by a Shipping Clerk I, the incumbent may perform the following:

  • Works with venders and purchasing to schedule and book in bound freight negotiate the most economic freight
  • Processes all direct shipping form off site
  • Works with purchasing and freight companies on and transform
  • Processes and maintains records for truck moves for customer service, tech, and warranty, purchasing and
  • Pull any and all documentation for audits, customer service and other departments as
  • Ships and confirms all Whole-Goods and OEM orders which includes: adding tracking and weights (whole goods and OEM are different), makes copies of S3 orders and sends them to Texas, doublechecks each order the next day for proper confirmation of all lines in JDE.
  • Writes up flatbed loads which includes: including any and all Canadian export documentation (case specific for each order since Rhino and Industrial are handled differently), contacts the freight forwarder
  • Processes LTL whole goods for shipment which includes: assists LTL for the Distribution Warehouse, includes any and all export documentation, contacts freight forwarder
  • Gets direction from OEM (AGCO, CNH and others) printing orders for pulling and packaging which includes: contacts the OEM company with shipping information, serial #'s weights and# of skids, processes the orders in JDE after pick up and places the orders in the correct location for filing
  • For Transformer, the duties include: looks at each invoice and researches, adds proper GL code, processes PO's, contacts trucking corporation for inconsistencies in billing, forwards corrected invoices to accounting in Texas
  • Processes truck requests for Customer Service, Warranty and Engineering
  • Facilitates order pulling and shipping and answers questions regarding shipments and tracks shipments
  • For Banyan, processes each truck load, LTL and truck request in Banyan and assists new vendors in understanding the Banyan site

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, enters data to maintain inventory accuracy of wholegoods in the Shipping Department. Prepares bills of lading for all truck shipments. Performs clerical duties for Shipping Department.


Essential Functions of the Job:

Performs all duties encompassed by a Shipping Clerk I as follows:

  • Follows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Maintains good housekeeping and a safe work environment
  • Assigns load numbers and prepares bills of lading, copies of sales orders, and any needed export documents and load sheets for full truck load
  • Books freight movement using Banyan software for LTL (less than truckload) and FTL (Full truckload).
  • Maintains shipping folders and files assisting Auditors as
  • Sets priorities for the day and communicates those with coworkers
  • Assists customer service requests for freight quotes ETA's or other shipping
  • Assists in training coworkers in proper work procedures and safety
  • Performs other duties as assigned
