- The Control Room Operator will be accountable for the safe, reliable, and compliant operations including monitoring, startup, and shutdown of multiple power generation technologies that may include Reciprocating Engines, Wind Turbines, Photo Voltaic Solar Units, and/or Gas Turbines.
- The Control Room Operator will support the integration of various existing control systems with the Remote Operating Center's (ROC) SCADA system.
- Work within the SCADA software platform to remotely monitor, startup, shutdown and reset a variety of power generation systems.
- Perform system maintenance and operational changes / improvements under an established Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Provide proactive system support, working closely with our customers and our Operations center.
- Troubleshoot software and system components, from field device communication to the data historian, using available in-house and online support resources.
- Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions
- Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift (up to 50 pounds)
- Power plant control room operation experience desired
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products
