OR Registered Nurse (Circulator) Opening at a Plastic Surgery Office in Atlanta, GA

Job Responsibilities:

• The Operating Room Nurse or RN Circulator oversees the operating room environment.
• When sterile procedures are performed in the OR suite, the Operating Room RN has the clinical responsibility for planning, coordinating, controlling, and carrying out direct and indirect patient care activities supportive to the medical program of care and based on actual and potential patient needs.
• The RN Circulator functions outside the sterile field during the course of the operation and assists the physicians and the sterile team by anticipating and providing needed supplies and equipment, adjusting the lights and other electrical equipment, relaying messages and running errands as needed.
• The Circulating RN plays a vital role in facilitating the performance of the operative procedure through alert observation, assessment, and recognition of needs, ability to set priorities, initiative, sound judgment and competence in coordinating and carrying out activities in his/her operating room.
• This person observes and enforces strict standards of asepsis, controls traffic and environmental cleanliness in the room.

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS
• OR/Surgical experience
• Outpatient/ambulatory care preferred
