Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Invasive Registered Nurse will provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients and will:

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the adult patient receiving invasive, diagnostic, and interventional procedures
Promote and maintain a safe and therapeutic cardiovascular invasive lab environment.
Provide high quality care -pre, post, and during procedures
Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual cardiovascular invasive lab patients.
Hemodynamic and EKG monitoring including interpretation of information obtained
Administration of Sedation Analgesia and monitoring patients response
Management of high-risk intravenous therapies.
Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care.
Basic knowledge of purpose CVI supplies while assisting in Inventory control and ordering
Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistants, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses, and / or nurse externs.
Maintain high quality [age specific] care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
3-years critical care experience preferred. Invasive cardiology experience preferred.
Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Registered Nurse
Associate Degree. BSN required within 2 years
