As a Housekeeping EVS Lead at our Banner University Medical Center Tucson, you will provide leadership and training for environmental services associates, while working as a member of the EVS Associate team.

SHIFT/SCHEDULE:
- Fulltime 40 Hours/Week
- Nights 3:00PM 11:30PM
- Weekends rotations and Holidays are required
- Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%night shift differential when applicable.
TRAINING SCHEDULE:
For all Full Time and Part Time**- (No Exemptions)
- 1st Week: Monday-Friday: 8AM 4:30PM
- 2nd Week: Monday-Friday 7AM 3:30PM
DUTIES:
- Leadership and training for environmental services associates
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the hospital.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in either a hospital setting, or institutional environment is not required.

We are an Arizona Department of Health Services-accredited Cardiac Receiving Center and a Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders-designated senior-friendly hospital.
The hospital is staffed by physicians who are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and is managed by Banner Health under an operating agreement with Pima County.
Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics.
This position provides leadership and training for environmental services associates, while working as a member of the EVS Associate team.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Ensures that staffing plans are carried out properly, and that all areas of the hospital/facility are staffed appropriately. With supervisor, plans completion of hospital wide projects, ensures consistent service delivery standards in all aspects of the Environmental Services and Linen operations. Gives input to supervisor on quality and timeliness of work performed by environmental services staff.
- Performs cleaning functions in patient rooms, specialty areas and common areas.
- Works closely with supervisor to train and retrain, recruit, retain and develop the Environmental Services team members, fostering a culture that reflects the core values and operational polices of our department and the company.
- May supervise staff in the absence of the Environmental Services leader. Makes work assignments and responds to immediate needs by moving staff to various areas of facility as needed. Moves furniture and sets up rooms for meetings and special functions.
- Assists supervisor in performing Quality Assurance Inspections for review and correction of deficiencies.
- Distributes linens and supplies as needed; takes inventories in assigned areas.
- Works independently with general supervision. Department responsibility only. Customers include staff, patients, visitors, physicians and vendors. Oversees daily activities of a team of Environmental Services Associates. Makes staffing assignments in absence of supervisor; coordinates cleaning projects as assigned, assists with on-the-job training, provides input to performance evaluations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the skills, knowledge and abilities in healthcare environmental services work typically acquired over two or more years of related work experience.
Must serve as a role model to others in customer service skills, safe work practices, and infection control including hand hygiene.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or BTMC Behavioral must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic computer skills in word processing and electronic mail are preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
