Posting Title Clinic Service Representative Lead - Psychiatry Job Location Fort Worth HSC Health is the academic clinical practice for the Health Science Center. Focused on improving health outcomes to build a healthier community, HSC Health primary and multi-specialty care clinics are located on the HSC campus as well as an off-site obstetrics and gynecology location in the Fort Worth medical district. Our care teams extend to local hospitals, surgery centers, long term and continuing care centers, and mobile and in-home care. HSC Healths interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, and nurses work together while intentionally integrating health care students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community. Position Overview Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: * Responsible for all clerical activities in a medical office using specific knowledge of medical terminology, clinic, or laboratory procedures. * Patient scheduling, billing and patient inquiries. * Acts as a customer service representative offering assistance to patients. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and one (1) year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: * Bilingual. * Three or more years experience in a medical practice. Previous experience obtaining prior authorizations. Classification Title Clinic Service Rep Lead Physical Requirements Ability to communicate Job Duties o Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, or other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, or medical records. o Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff. o Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries, or medical consultations. o Maintain medical records, technical library, or correspondence files. o Greet visitors, ascertain the purpose of visit and direct them to appropriate staff. o Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff. o Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax. o Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies. o Interview patients to complete documents, case histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms. o Ensure that all clinic front desk processes are being performed by staff. o Obtain authorizations for upcoming appointments. o Maintain and schedule incoming referrals. o Performs other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Department. *
