    • Suicide PreventionPreference may be given to candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish.

    Health Educators performing suicide prevention work must take stock of their physical and emotional well-being and practice daily self-care to provide the best service and feel fulfilled in their careers.

    This helps to reduce anxiety, stress, and job burn-out.

    It supports improved quality of life, physical and mental wellbeing, and assists in achieving a healthy work / life balance.


    The Opportunity:

    Under direct leadership of the assigned supervisor, develops, designs, monitors, coordinates, evaluates, and administers health education and prevention activities in Utah County.

    Performs clerical, technical, and entry-level professional work.

    Health Educator I - 721Health Education Technician - 720
    Starting Pay: 721 $ $27.97 per hour720 $ $26.

    Job Qualifications
    • Health Educator I:1.
    Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, or a related field.2. Two (2) years of health education work experience.3. A completed, related master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of health education work experience.
    Job Qualifications
    • Health Education Technician: Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, or a related field.
    Preferred Candidates will possess some of the below attributes:1.

    Applicant must be eligible to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and/or obtain a Certificate in Public Health (CPH).
