Description

Provides classroom training and education to SYEP participants with a projected instructor to participant ratio of 20 to 1, Monday through Friday in a classroom setting at IS 217.


Educational topics will include:

  • Program Orientation
  • Workplace Readiness
  • Financial Literacy
  • Health Education
  • Higher Education Exploration
  • Career Exploration
  • Reflection and Analysis

The Workshop Facilitator will:

  • Working in coordination with the Educational Advisor and SYEP staff, provide a different two and a half hour unit each week over the sevenweek period for a total instructional period of 17.5 hours for each participant over seven weeks
  • Assure compliance with the 17.5hour mandate for each participant.
  • Train/educate participants concerning debit card use during the initial orientation.
