Your Opportunity
Stantec GS is looking for an independent, self-starter to support their Charlottesville, VA office. They need a PC Deployment Specialist to assist with desktop/laptop imaging, software installation, and user data migration. They may be involved with larger IT projects as necessary.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of software and hardware used throughout the company.
- Handles many requests in a short amount of time and is responsible for client satisfaction
- Responsible for imaging, maintaining, and repairing IT products such as laptops, workstations, printers, terminals, and corresponding hardware
- Involved in upgrading existing systems and providing routine maintenance
- Executes all tasks in accordance with quality standards and technical procedures, leading to a high degree of client satisfaction
- Performs other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills will be required in addition to welldeveloped problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- A strong knowledge of diverse hardware, software and operating systems with an interest in and taking the initiative to keep current with same.
- Working knowledge of active directory and ITIL processes will also be key to your success.
- Strong customer service focus.
Education and Experience
- Postsecondary education in Information Technology
- Valid driver's license with
- Position requires a preemployment Drug screen
- Ability to obtain IAW NISPOM security clearance
