Monday-Friday: 9AM-5PM


Hours Per Week: 35


General Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all JHM Waitlists including HUD, Mitchell Lama, NYCHA, DHS, and HDC
  • Conduct applicant interviews to verify eligibility prior to referring applicant to the sites
  • Process removal of all ineligible applicants from all waiting lists on a regular ongoing basis
  • Perform monthly /quarterly mailing to topoflist applicants to verify applicant interest
  • Actively communicates with all JHM sites regarding applicant status, scheduling for apartment viewings, and other activities as required
  • Work closely with the Director of Housing Risk Management to process opening and closing of Waitlists as required
  • Monthly reporting on all wait list activities to the Director of Risk Management
  • Perform word processing, database management, copying, printing, scanning, filing, mailing, tracking and other administrative functions and tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • Experience in NYC affordable housing subsidies and programs (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with lowincome families and/or seniors (preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SmartSheet and Google Workspace

  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problemsolving skills
  • Strong collaborative skills, and an ability to maintain composure and provide leadership in highstress situations;
  • Ability to travel throughout NYC as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively
  • Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, in prioritizing work in a multitask environment
