Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 9AM-5PM
Hours Per Week: 35
General Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all JHM Waitlists including HUD, Mitchell Lama, NYCHA, DHS, and HDC
- Conduct applicant interviews to verify eligibility prior to referring applicant to the sites
- Process removal of all ineligible applicants from all waiting lists on a regular ongoing basis
- Perform monthly /quarterly mailing to topoflist applicants to verify applicant interest
- Actively communicates with all JHM sites regarding applicant status, scheduling for apartment viewings, and other activities as required
- Work closely with the Director of Housing Risk Management to process opening and closing of Waitlists as required
- Monthly reporting on all wait list activities to the Director of Risk Management
- Perform word processing, database management, copying, printing, scanning, filing, mailing, tracking and other administrative functions and tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Experience in NYC affordable housing subsidies and programs (preferred)
- Previous experience working with lowincome families and/or seniors (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SmartSheet and Google Workspace
Requirements:
- Proactive, wellorganized, able to identify needs/risks, set goals, and develop and implement plans;
- Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders;
- Excellent interpersonal and problemsolving skills
- Strong collaborative skills, and an ability to maintain composure and provide leadership in highstress situations;
- Ability to travel throughout NYC as needed
- Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively
- Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, in prioritizing work in a multitask environment
