Responsibilities:


  • Utilize knowledge of accrual and cashbased accounting principles to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage and support the general ledger, recording all income, deposits, and expenses.
  • Maintain inventory and fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare daily and endofmonth reports for forecasting revenue and expenses, providing insights for informed decisionmaking.
  • Conduct all account reconciliations and prepare monthly balance sheets, including bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts.
  • Oversee weekly accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice processing and payment scheduling, while maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Manage the filing of all licenses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor daily cash balances, processing external and intercompany transfers and wires as needed.
  • Handle sales tax reporting and payments, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, recording payroll transactions and ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations.
  • Prepare subcontractor 1099 forms and other yearend IRS requirements as necessary.
  • Prepare and process monthly distributions to ownership, maintaining transparency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including CPA firms, by providing relevant financial documents and information as required.
  • Report on financial issues and variances as they arise, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to any additional bookkeeping staff as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with specific experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel required
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest improvements and streamline processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience contributing to a positive and energetic work culture.

Salary and Benefits
- $70,000-$75,000 per year DOE
