- Regulatory Oversight: Provide ongoing regulatory oversight for all projects, acting as a subject matter expert and advisor to internal teams. Address regulatory challenges promptly and proactively, keeping projects on track.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and stakeholders to stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices. Establish and maintain positive relationships to facilitate smooth project approvals and compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of regulatory compliance activities and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all regulatory submissions and documentation are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Compliance Rate: Ensure 100% compliance with FERC regulations for all projects.
- Efficiency: Reduce regulatory approval timelines through streamlined processes and effective communication with regulatory agencies.
- Risk Mitigation: Successfully identify and mitigate regulatory risks, resulting in a reduction of project-related compliance issues.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain satisfaction among regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders.
- Documentation Accuracy: Achieve a 98% accuracy rate in regulatory documentation and submissions.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in regulatory compliance associated with state agencies and the FERC regulations associated with hydropower operations. Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is essential.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of FERC regulations and compliance requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Project management expertise is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in regulatory affairs and project management are advantageous.
