    Description
    Duties & Responsibilities

    Production


    • Responsible for picking, inspecting, and packing quality parts into boxes on his/her assigned Thermoforming Line.
    • Accurately counting parts to ensure that customers get a consistent, quality product.
    • Bagging counted parts and placing into correct box on the assigned production line.
    • Assure that each box is properly sealed to minimize the potential for damage.
    • Verify proper date codes and labels are on all boxes being put on the skids.
    • Keep pace with the speed of the machine and not allow packable parts to fall in the scrap bin or deliberately scrap packable parts.
    • Keep up on grinding when machine is down and as time permits.
    • Assist Machine Operator when needed.
    • Give oncoming shift a good change over as to how the machine ran during the shift.
    • Stay around at the end of the shift until the area is completely clean and ready for the oncoming shift.
    • Have a minimum of 2 hours worth of boxes, bags, and labels ready for the oncoming shift. These are to be in the packer's staging area.
    • Any other duties as assigned by the Leads, or Management.
    Safety and Cleanliness


    • Maintains a clean and safe work area and reports unsafe conditions to the Operator and/or supervisor for resolution.
    • Maintains good housekeeping and makes sure the packing area is kept clean, at all times.
    • Adheres to safety policy.
    • Must wear hairnet and all safety gear at all times.
    Quality


    • Meets or exceed minimum standards for quality packaged Finished Goods.
    • Reports any quality problems immediately to the Operator.
    • If quality of product is unacceptable and the operator is not around the Packer will turn on the notification light switch or alarm near packing area.
    Miscellaneous


    • Other related job duties as assigned
    Physical Demands


    • Standing (100% of the day)
    • Lifting (no more than 40 lbs)
    • Reaching (taking parts off machines 100% of the day)
